INTERNAL AUDIT QUALITY ASSESSMENT (QAR)

Our Internal Audit Quality Assurance Review (QAR) provides an independent, objective assessment of internal audit activity, including its contribution to governance, risk management and internal controls. We assess alignment with relevant national requirements and international internal audit standards. Our services include:

Review of compliance with international internal audit standards; assessment of
audit policies, procedures and operational performance; determination of internal audit
maturity and improvement opportunities; and independent quality assessments under a
Quality Assurance and Improvement Programme (QAIP), including the periodic external assessment generally required every five years.

ESTABLISHING AN INTERNAL AUDIT FUNCTION

Establishing an internal audit function is a long-term advisory engagement. We assess the company's governance structure, culture and stakeholder expectations, then

develop an internal
audit operating model
aligned with
the organisation's objectives.
This may include the internal
audit charter, methodology,
risk-based planning, reporting lines,
staffing, competencies, policies and procedures,
coordination with other
assurance providers
and implementation support.
